Pounds Lost (PL)          :    3.4

It's so encouraging when the scale moves like I want it to!  Short post today.  Just wanted to check in and post my numbers.  I'm going to do a weekly wrap up tomorrow.

It's Friday - Is that good or bad?

Day 11

Change                         :  - 0.2
Pounds Lost (PL)          :    2.8
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   :  27.2

Some things I love about the weekend:

I love not sitting at my desk working.  I love hanging out with the kids.  I love Zoey laughing because she's hilarious. I love going to Ethan's baseball games.  I love my one on one time with Mia when we go grocery shopping.  I love naps!

Some things I don't love about the weekend:

I don't love not having a regular schedule. I don't love making bad food decisions.  I don't love having more drinks than I should. I don't love feeling guilty after an indulgence that I didn't really want.

This weekend, I am going to try my best to stay on track.  I have been feeling so strong lately.  My arms are already getting definition and my runs are much easier than 11 days ago.

One step at a time!  Happy Weekend!

Ten Days in a Row!

Day 10

Change                         : + 1.0
Pounds Lost (PL)          :    2.6
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   :  27.4

Another pound back up.  I have to remind myself that I'm gaining muscle and muscle weighs more than fat.  The important thing is that I feel stronger and am committed to this new healthier lifestyle.

My 30 Day Challenge is going well and the numbers are increasing quickly.  Today was 105 squats, a 1 minute plank, 15 pushups and 65 crunches.  I think that I'm most proud of the pushups.  My arms have always been week and I love to see the muscles developing.

Wednesday was a busy day.  I had to play catch up at work from taking the previous afternoon off to go to the baseball game.  The day flew by too quickly!

I have a new favorite snack!  GoodFoods Group Guacamole and raw carrots!

Food was on track and water was great.  I'm somehow getting too much salt because my fingers seem swollen.  I'm going to pay close attention to that one.

A day at the Ball Park

Day 9

Change                         : + 1.0
Pounds Lost (PL)          :    3.6
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   :  26.4

It's great that the scale only went up one pound!  An afternoon/evening at the baseball park with several beers involved could have made this much worse.  AND even worse, I ate a HUGE cheeseburger.  It was REALLY, REALLY good though.  I forgot to take a picture because I was starving when I got it.

We had great seats right behind home plate.

Got a good selfie with J.

I wasn't completely awful though.  I got in my run and challenge exercises early.  I stayed on track with food before the game and did get all of my water in before drinking beer.

Back on track today. I knew that yesterday was going to be an off day but I'm okay with that and don't feel bad at all.  Life is going to happen and there is no reason not to enjoy it and indulge occasionally.

Nice surprise!

Day 8

Pounds Lost (PL)          :   4.6
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   : 25.4

I guess that drinking a crap ton of water yesterday helped detox me from the weekend salt overload.

Not a bad day at all.  I got in my run, did my challenge exercises and ate well.  Work wasn't even bad for a Monday.

I wanted to share my current running playlist.  I add to it regularly and just hit shuffle when I start out.

It's a weird mix but it works for me!

Dinner was new recipe Monday.  Here's what we tried, I forgot to take a picture..

One Pan Parmesan Pork Chops and Veggies

It was a hit with everyone surprisingly.  Even the green beans!!!!

3 steps forward and 1 step back

Day 7

Pounds Lost (PL)          :   2.8
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   : 27.2

I finally found the blog description that fits me. A little progress is usually followed by a little falter.  The difference before was that I would let that little set back derail me. Not this time.

I think that losing 2.8 pounds in one week is pretty good.  My body is developing muscle and I feel stronger.  That's important.

Let's recap my Sunday.  It was pretty great.  I took the day off from exercising except for my 30 day challenge.  Mia and I ran errands.  We went to Michael's, Costco, TJMaxx and Kroger.  It was really nice having some one on one time.  We don't get to do that often.

We got home and had to do food prep for the week.  We cut up strawberries, kiwi and carrots.  Made brussels sprouts and bacon, cooked an eggplant and tomato casserole, sliced cucumbers and onion and put them in vinegar.  Then we splurged a little:

Along with this I might have had a beer or two and little bit of Jason's homemade margarita. WAY too much salt yesterday it seems.

We grilled turkey burgers for dinner and then watched Jurassic World. Just an overall enjoyable day!

Down One!

Day 6

Pounds Lost (PL)          :   4
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   : 26

The loss was a surprise to me.  I stayed on track with food mostly.  We went out for Italian for dinner and I had a few glasses of wine along with a garlic roll.  Yummy!  Water was great today, 9 cups.

It was a good day around here.  I went for a run and upped my mileage by about half a mile.  The morning was beautiful with sunny skies and a great breeze.  Also, got my challenge moves in.

Ethan had a baseball game and I took one of my all time favorite photos of him.  I'm not sure what it is about this one that I love so much.  Maybe the look of concentration and focus.

The rest of the day was really nice.  I sat in the driveway and read for almost 2 hours.  Heavenly!  Here's hoping the rest of the weekend is just as wonderful!

The Scale is Stuck

Going into the weekend now....that's the hard part for me.

Could have done better, could have done worse....

Day 4

Pounds Lost (PL)         :   3
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   : 27

Water: 4 cups

Breakfast
Usual.  I can eat the same breakfast over and over.  It's the other meals that I can't repeat.

Lunch
Turkey taco boat (1) and roasted Brussell Sprouts

Snacks
Pistachios and SkinnyPop popcorn

Dinner
Leftover meatball sub (insides only, no bread)
glass of Cabernet

After Dinner
glass of Cabernet

Exercise
The 30 day challenge:

squats - rest day
6 push-ups
30 second plank
crunches - rest day
30 walking lunges

That's it for exercise.  That amounted to about 4 minutes total of exercise and I only got 5000 steps on my Garmin.

On a good note, I got a package in the mail! LOVE my monthly StitchFix!

Also realized that we were completely out of fruit so I had to make a Costco run.  We should be good for a while.

Overall - Only had 1/2 as much water as I should have.  Didn't really exercise.  BUT made decent food choices.  Also need to make sure I get enough calories.  My total for the day was only around 1100.

Post Run:

I made the kids a yummy Mississippi Pot Roast for dinner last night.  I've been wanting to try this recipe for a while and it got 2 out of 3 thumbs up.  They had it with rice and rolls.  This is pre-shredding.

60 Days of Blogging

I've decided to blog everything that I eat and drink for 60 days to make myself be accountable.  This is completely outside my comfort zone and 100% for me.  If anyone gets motivation out of this, that's an added bonus.

Day 1 - April 18

This is me!

Pounds Lost (PL)         :   0
Pounds to Lose (PTL)   : 30

Water: 7 cups

Breakfast

2 cups of coffee with 3 T of Half and Half
Thomas WW light English muffin
1/3 cup egg whites
1 t Olive Oil
2 pieces Hormel Fully Cooked bacon

Lunch

Taco stuffed zucchini boats
1/4 cucumber in white vinegar

Dinner

Bonefish Grille - Ahi Tuna Sashimi appetizer
Blue moon draft beer
Louis Martini Cabernet - 2 glasses

After Dinner

Paso Creek Cabernet - 1 glass

The Taco Zucchini Boats were a SkinnyTaste recipe and turned out really great.

I'm starting slow with exercise so my body doesn't hate me so much initially.  I started a 30 day challenge and this was day one.

50 squats
5 push-ups
20 second plank
25 crunches

Besides that, I put on boxing gloves and hit the bag for 6.5 minutes before being completely exhausted.  I also did 30 walking lunges.

Overall day - I drank too much wine, did pretty good with water and made smart food choices while eating out.
