Easter Weekend

Hi Everyone! Sorry for the delay in posting but it stays pretty busy around here for some reason and there were a lot of pictures to go through.

Not much writing this week just wanted to share some pictures. Here's everyone dying Easter Eggs. This was the first year we've done it. Ethan and Mia were fascinated by the eggs changing colors.

This is the loot that the Easter Bunny Left at our house. Mia got a full chest of dress up stuff. Ethan got three cool dress up costumes and Zoey got a little purse that sings. They also each got a new stuffed animal. Mia's bunny immediately became 'Fluffy'. Ethan's dog is 'Grady' and we have yet to name Zoey's purple zebra. We're leaning towards Fruit Stripe because it looks just like the zebra from the old Fruit Stripe gum commercials.

A princess...

...and a pirate.

Zoey wasn't sure what was going on.

Mia carried her new pet 'Fluffy' around all day (and every day since Easter).

There was some kind of battle between Ethan and Zoey. It looks like he's about to stab her with a sword...

and then she goes and gets the gun.

We hunted for Easter Eggs. It was a beautiful day for it!

Jason and Bryan got a ton of work done on the fort we're building for the kids. Here's all of them Sunday afternoon at quitting time.

Have a great weekend! More next week.

Plans Postponed

Well, the weather turned out to be so bad that we didn't make it to Nana and Papa's house this past weekend. Instead we're going tomorrow. We stayed around here and tried our best to stay warm. The high on Saturday was around 40.

This is Mia's favorite thing to wear these days. Most mornings, she just gets up and puts it on. There's usually a purse, glove, bracelets and 'dancing shoes' to go with it.

On Sunday, we braved Chuck E. Cheese. We got there around 11 and the crowd was not bad yet. Ethan ran around trying to see how many different games he could play. He didn't even want to get in the crawling tube thing on the ceiling like he normally does. It was all about the video games this time.

I tried my hand (or foot actually) at the soccer ball game.

I'm not sure if you can tell or not but that is my shoe in the game beside the soccer ball. Mental note, never try to kick a soccer ball with Birkenstock's on.

Zoey had a great time. She loved the music and every chance she got she headed toward the stage. This stopped as soon as she saw the giant dancing Chuck E. Cheese. She did an immediate U-Turn and stayed away from the stage for a while.

After an exciting hour plus at Chuck E. Cheese, we went out to lunch. Once we got home me and all 3 kids had a 2 hour nap. It was Heaven!

Gorgeous Weekend!

The first day of March turned out to be beautiful. Bryan and Kim came to see us Saturday morning. The kids were thrilled! We spent lots of time playing outside. It seems like forever since the weather has been nice enough to do that.

We got to show off our newest toy.

We got the Rhino about 2 weeks ago. Jason and I want to get back into camping and this will be perfect. Between the Rhino and the 4-Wheeler, there is plenty of room for us and all of our camping stuff.

Ethan and Mia also have a kid sized Rhino. At one point, Kim tried to race Ethan. We all know who the winner of that contest was.

Here's Jason and Bryan watching Ethan ride.

Bryan and Ethan played some baseball.

Mia rode her 'turtle' toy.

Zoey cut the grass.

We had a great time and as always, it was hard to see Bryan and Kim go. It's a lot harder having them live 3 hours away instead of 10 minutes.

Sunday evening we went over to the Watson's house and grilled some burgers. The kids all had a great time and played really well together. No one even cried! I think that Mia had the most fun though. Zoe (this Zoe is Mia's age) has a lot of dress up clothes and I think Mia tried most of them on.

On a side note, we found out Sunday morning that my mom had to go to the hospital on Saturday night. Somehow she was under the impression that a 58 year old woman should be galloping on a horse. She fell off and fractured her hip in two places. She's really ok, but very, very sore.

We're going to Oxford this weekend to let Nana and Papa play with the kids while Jason and I take the Rhino out for it's inaugural ride in the woods. I'll send updates next week.
